about us

origins of the team . . .

"Hey Jude" – the Brentford supporters' team – have been playing regularly (and sometimes not so regularly) since 2000 – this makes us one the longest-surviving supporters teams in the country.

The team were formed in April 2000, it was intended as a one-off. Supporter Paul Stedman was asked by a work colleague –  a Millwall supporter – if he could get a team of Bees supporters to play a team of Millwall supporters on the morning of an afternoon fixture between the two sides at Griffin Park.

Paul reached out to Pete Johnston, who published the popular fanzine "Hey Jude" to see if a team could be formed for this one off game. It all came to together at Cranford Community School – the game was a seven goal thriller (OK – we lost 6-1!) but the germ of an idea had been born and within weeks the team were playing regular fixtures against other teams in the area: Queens Park Rangers, West Ham, Luton being early opponents.
